An accomplished flute performer and teacher with a love of new music, Amy had a reputation as an outspoken champion of the arts. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the University of Victoria, received her ARCT (flute) from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and had extensive training in drama and dance. She studied musical theatre under the direction of Alan Lund and continued her studies under several world-renowned flutists including Robert Aitken, but also at the Banff School of Fine Arts.
