Sirius Theatrical Company, Etobicoke has an open Call for Auditions – Ages 12 – 70+ for their Fall Theatre Festival – My Lakeshore – My Home.  Performances will be outdoors and will involve both matinee shows on Saturday and Sunday as well as evening shows Thursday through Sunday. Rehearsals will be part-time and flexible in the evenings and weekends from mid-August through September. Scripts are not available at this time but we are looking to cast a wide variety of roles, including an actress who speaks Spanish, and a male/female couple who speaks Lithuanian.   Festival runs Oct. 1 – 4, 2015. Auditions:  Tuesday, July 28th and Wednesday July 29th, Times: Group A slot: 6-7:30 pm, Group B Slot: 7:45-9:15 or Tuesday, August 11th, Wednesday, August 12, and Thursday, August 13th at 6:00 – 9:30 pm. Rehearsals: Mid-August through Sept. 30, 2015. Festival Performances:  Oct. 1 – 4, 2015-06-08. Book an audition by emailing your resume and photo to: info@siriustheatrical.com.  Write “Auditions” in the subject line of your email.

Diaspora Dialogues is excited to announce an open call for our 2015-16 Long-Form mentorship program, focusing on the creation of long-form manuscripts and offering emerging writers an in-depth opportunity to hone their craft and prepare a book-length project for publication. Diaspora Dialogues invites submissions from emerging writers who currently have a full or near-full draft of an original full-length novel, or collection of short stories, or collection of poems. Please note that we do not accept works intended for children or young adults. Full or near-full draft means that the writer has up to 85,000 words or 300 double-spaced pages of prose; or up to 25 poems (50 pages maximum).

Call for submissions from LAC to connect with the Franco-Ontarian Community. The Living Arts Centre is accepting submissions by email from Artists who wish to have their work considered for an upcoming exhibition. The deadline to submit is August 10th, to see the call in both French & English.

CALL FOR OLDER ADULT VOLUNTEERS: Visual Arts Mississauga at Riverwood is currently seeking volunteer applicants with an interest in visual arts, crafts, teaching, writing, photography or film to assist in its new ArtReach for Older Adults Program. This innovative new program is designed to build confidence and foster well-being in older adults. Call for MAC Ambassadors! The Mississauga Arts Council is looking for arts and culture lovers to spread their enthusiasm across the city while also promoting MAC and Limelight through our Ambassador Program. Being an Ambassador means attending events like Open Mic Nights, arts workshops, exhibits, and concerts to create a positive environment, represent and promote the Arts Council, distribute MAC swag, and promote membership sales. Training is provided, and all Ambassadors will be paid for every membership they sell at the events they attend. MAC Coffeehouse looking for its next artist: 
Every other Monday for the next 6 months, we’ve got space for artists to showcase their work at Studio 89. MAC will have artists of different disciplines display their work and/or perform for 1-2 hours to entertain guests and promote MAC. We’re accepting painters, dancers, singers, and artists of all forms! Exhibitions will be starting mid-November, and run for 1-2 hours in the evening.
