Norma Nicholson is looking to publish her second book in Feb. 2016, she published her first book “Young Lives on the Line: You can make a difference” in Feb. 2014.
Norma is seeking your help toward obtaining contents for her new book.
This book has no name at this time. Looking for young persons that would consider adding their voices to help shape the future for others?
Norma has designed a confidential questionnaire and a consent, both of which have been reviewed and approved by a lawyer. The questionnaire has been designed for use in conducting face-face interviews with representative sample of young persons 18 – 25 years of age, who rejoined their parents in Ontario, after being initially left behind in their countries of birth when their parents migrated. Each young person will be asked to talk about their individual personal experience. These responses will be the major component of the book which will examine and discuss the realities of family separation and re-unification in a different cultural environment.  Hoping the fact findings and recommendations will prove useful for planning the implementation of future programs to sensitize and educate parents, teachers and communities about the complexities of family separation and re-unification. Face to face interviews will begin in early October, which could take place in libraries across cities and towns in Ontario. If you are interested in participating please contact Norma by email.
