Like darning an old pair of socks, artists featured in this exhibtion repurpose and redefine materials and their functional associations. Showcasing a range of contemporary media. Darn IT! addresses concerns of sustainability, manufacturing, processes and their influence of technology. Through exploring ideas of form and function, artists found and traditional materials in order to open up new dialogues relevant to current practices.

Participating artists include: Heather J Beaumont, Tibor Bodi, Atanas Bozdarov, Marianne Burlew, Michele Crockett, Joel Fullerton, Natasha Gouveia, Dorothea Hines, Lesli Hopkins, Kevin Maclean, Melanie A. Seligman, Keith Shearsby, Sophia Solaris

The exhibition jurors include Artist Educator John Armstrong, Blackwood Gallery Curator-in-Residence and Artist Johnson Ngo and Living Arts Centre Curator Megan Press.
