Standout without Spotlights at MAC’s 2014 Media Summit in collaboration with Bollywood Monster Mashup
Are you a MAC member who has a story to tell? Want to give someone else the tools to tell theirs?
Submit your project to the 2014 Media Summit with the Mississauga Arts Council and Bollywood Monster Mashup. The media summit is an annual event which allows members of Mississauga’s media arts community to pitch their ideas, learn about the media arts field, and earn some money for their newest projects.
MAC is looking for artists to submit their newest project for a chance to receive cash and mentorship towards its execution. Projects can include a new program, a new piece of art, or a new event.
The theme for this year’s media summit is “Standing Out Without Spotlights”. We’re looking for projects which have the potential to stand out from the crowd because of their approach, tools or stories behind them.
The top 5 selected teams will have their 1 minute trailer shown the day of the event, and they will have four minutes to continue their pitch and field questions from our judges. The summit will take place on August 25, 6 pm at the Living Arts Centre. The judges are from a variety of media arts roles, positions and organizations.
Projects must be lead by a MAC member, click here for information about membership. Submissions are due by August 1 and must contain: • 2 page proposal / • 1 minute video trailer in an MP4 format. Submissions and questions can be directed to: Cheryl Stone, Communications Coordinator for Mississauga Arts Council, firstname.lastname@example.org, 300 City Centre Drive, Suite 1055, 905-615-4214.
