AJ Saudin was born in Mississauga, Ontario.  He started his career at the age of 4 in print and commercials and landed his first film and television role at the age of 7 playing Robbie, the son of Natalie Cole in the movie about her life directed by Robert Townsend. AJ is best known for his continued role of Connor in “Degrassi the Next Generation”. Outside of acting he loves writing, music, traveling and lending his support to various charities.

He attended Cawthra Park Secondary School of the Arts and Applewood Heights Secondary School in Mississauga. He’s known for being on the first season of So You Think You Can Dance in 2005, and on the MTV reality dance show, DanceLife. He’s danced with stars such as Madonna, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson & Destiny’s Child.

Port Credit’s Carol McCartney has performed across Canada, the U.S., Hong Kong and Japan for three decades. Her CD’s are a favourite of jazz radio, as are her recordings with Peter Appleyard, Guido Basso and Chase Sanborn. She has soloed with over 30 symphony orchestras and was vocalist for the JUNO-nominated recording Taking Flight.

As a teenager, Marisa studied piano and vocal lessons, knowing that these talents would advance her career someday. She’s competed throughout Canada and the United States and won numerous scholarships and awards. Marisa is an active member of Mississauga’s Arts Scene as a dancer, musician, and singer, most recently being the recipient of the Meadowvale Theatre Award.

Tommy Taylor

Tommy was born and raised in Mississauga, ON. It was in Mississauga that Tommy first became involved in theatre.After attending the Vancouver Film School in 2001, Tommy returned to Mississauga and co-founded Forward Theatre. Forward went on to produce over 20 shows, lasting adecade, performing out of Mississauga’s Living Arts Centre.Tommy went on to work with many Toronto based theatre companies, such as Young Peoples Theatre and Theatre Gargantua. Tommy is currently preparing for a 2014 GTA high school tour of You Should Have Stayed Home: A G20 Romp!, as well as publishing the play later this year. Tommy continues to believe in the power of performance to engage audiences, in a tangible way, into dialogue about the issues of our time.

Hallows Die

Formed in late 2006, Hallows Die has been forging a repertoire of songs trying as hard as possible to keep any one composition from sounding exactly like the next. The result: odd melodies intertwined with bizarre time changes, and unpredictable song structures. Considered by listeners to be a mixing pot of genres, they strive to play weird and original material that continues to evolve into a musical entity that cannot be classified under any one specific genre. With one EP already released, the band entered the studio with Colin Attlesey (Will of the Ancients)in November 2008 to record their first full length album “World of Ruin”.

Trouble & Daughter are an indie/folk band from Mississauga. The bands live show consists of Doherty on guitar/vocals, and Pleau and Mascola on vocals, Richie Gregor on drums and Will Marr on bass. Over the last year the band has released two five song EPs, which are available at their bandcamp page and when seen live. Trouble & Daughter is currently in the process of recording their brand new album which is due for Spring 2014.

We Flip Tables is a competitive poetry slam based in Mississauga. This art collective throws monthly events as part of a season with playoffs to create a team which competes on the  regional, provincial and national levels. They placed 5th at the 2013 Canadian Festival of Spoken Word in Montreal.

Alison Syer was a Visual Arts major at Cawthra Park Secondary School, graduating in 2001. She successfully completed the Art Fundamentals (Illustration stream) Certificate at Sheridan College in 2007, and in 2010 graduated with honours from Sheridan’s Crafts and Design Diploma program, with a studio concentration in textiles.

Annette’s wearable art collection ‘ICE’ has been dubbed ‘enchanting’, ‘alive’, ‘beautiful and chilling’.  The collection consists of 3 pieces, the Snowball Wedding Gown, the ICE QUEEN dvd outfit, and the FROZEN WATERFALL dress.  Some of the materials used in the collection were feathers, mylar balloons, a hoola hoop, DVDs hand cut tte pieces, photography printed on fabric, beads, stones, duct tape and bubble wrap.  Annette’s collection was modeled on the runway at the AGO in 2012, Fashion Arts Toronto in 2013 and Rideau Hall Ottawa in 2013.
