The Toronto Storytelling Festival; Storyfire series begins on March 2nd, 2018 and they are looking for active participants. If you like to speak, dance, or sing for Birds of a Feather’s please submit a pitch by Feb. 16 to

Storyfire is a Fringe-style citywide celebration of storytelling, with self-producing shows in venues throughout the city.  The Festival does not pay Storyfire artists.

Storyfire shows are listed in Festival print and online promotional material.

Storytellers based in the GTA self-produce shows in a wide variety of venues: libraries, cafes, theatres, bars, community centres, pop-up performance spaces, etc.

The goal of Storyfire is to make the art of storytelling accessible to people throughout the city. Storyfire is not curated.

The Festival will also feature guest tellers from across Canada and around the world, welcoming Gcina Mlophe (South Africa), Eric Borrias (The Netherlands), Sahand Sahebdivani (Iran/The Netherlands), Sharon Shorty (Yukon), Duane Gastant’ Aucoin (Yukon), Jamie Oliverio (Manitoba), Judith Liberman (Turkey), Ron Evans (British Columbia), and Laura Simms (USA) from March 19 – 25.
