We sat down with MARTY Award Nominee Alissa Skorik to talk about her music career, her influences and where she draws her inspiration, and much more!

Alissa is a Ukrainian- Canadian flautist. She showcases the Indigenous Style Flute and its musical diversity. In her act, Alissa performs contemporary original pieces inspired by traditional indigenous music. She uses prerecorded backing tracks to supplement her performance and engage the audience. Just a year after stepping onto the Toronto music scene as an independent artist, Alissa has played solo shows at esteemed events such as TEDx and Carassauga.
