Christina Hamid graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts Honors degree where she studied Theatre and Playwriting. She then went on to complete her Bachelor of Education degree at Western University, where she specialized in English and Drama. Christina has also interned at The Playwright’s Guild of Canada. One of her original plays has been short listed for the Wildfire Playwriting Competition in Calgary. She was an inaugural member of The Women’s Room Playwright’s Unit and had a staged reading of her new work This Side Up in June 2017. In the fall of 2016 she began teaching drama classes at The Milton Centre for the Arts. Christina writes children’s theatre for The Milton Centre for the Arts, her plays: The Curious Case of The 18 Witnesses, The Missing Portrait and The Tale of The Spooky Summer Camp were produced by the performing arts camp in 2017. In July 2018 her newest play- Nellie and The Magical Time Machine premiered.
