The Mississauga Arts Council hosts its fundraising Motown Masquerade Ball on Nov. 22 at the Mississauga Convention Centre.

Hundreds of people are expected to attend the annual gala that will pay tribute to the music of Motown, with live performances by Mississauga funk, soul and R&B artists — including Juno Award winner Liberty Silver as well as Donna King, Nicole Faye, Andrae Ennis, Justin Bacchus, Phil Poppa and Sound Exchange.

Each year, the arts council hosts a themed masquerade ball to raise funds for future programming and to provide artists with paid opportunities. Last year’s event had a Renaissance theme.

There will be live music, dinner, live and silent auctions for items, including vacations and Toronto Maple Leafs tickets — plus dancing.
