Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie will be getting a little dramatic this month at the inaugural Magical Masquerade Ball.

The ball, which happens on Oct. 29 at the Lakeshore Convention Centre, is a new fundraising gala in support of the Mississauga Arts Council. The mayor will be part of the fun, not as the municipality’s top politician, but as a “detective” investigating a “crime” as part of a theatrical whodunit performance for the audience.

Other special guests will also take part of the multimedia musical mystery.

But, that’s not all. There will be magical mayhem, occult experiences, food from around the world and live musical performances from local artists. There’s also a live and silent auction and awards for the best costumes.

Tickets cost $150. To purchase, call 905-615-4214.
