The Mississauga Arts Council is hosting its next coffee night on Monday at the Studio.89 café.
The event, which starts at 7 p.m., will feature visual artist Carrie Bloomfield, who will be exhibiting a number of pieces of art as part of a solo show. She will also be painting a piece live that evening.

The event is free.

The Visual Arts Mississauga exhibit Architextural Identities continues at the Mississauga Central Library until the end of the month on the library’s third floor. It invited artists to explore the assemblage of shape, text, texture and experience that forms the essential character or condition related to who a person or what an object is.

While there, you can check out first-place winner Grazyna Adamska-Jarecka’s acrylic piece Dynamic Formation.

An exhibition featuring three members of the same family draws to a close this Sunday at the Living Arts Centre gallery. Geometry3 is an exhibition of painting, photography and printmaking by artists Leszek, Lynn and Nadine Wyczolkowski.

Geometrical forms are the inspiration for the exhibit, which opened in November.

The Mississauga Arts Council and The Music Quadrant have partnered to present a workshop on Jan. 22 at Studio.89 dubbed Transitioning from the Music Hobby to the Music Business. Organizers say the course will teach artists, songwriters and producers how to navigate the music industry as both artists and entrepreneurs.

The cost is $49.99-$59.99. To book a spot, call Tina Cole at 416-895-2841 or email themusicquadrant@gmail.com.
