Job Opportunity: Community Outreach & Production Manager

Anticipated start date is August 11, 2025.

This is a brand new position to support the relaunch and strategic growth of SaugaArtsHub.com.
The Community Outreach & Production Manager will strategically enhance brand awareness for SaugaArtsHUB.com, developing compelling, up-to-date content to support increased engagement among Mississauga artists and residents. This role focuses on building audiences for SAH through strategic partnerships with local artists, organizations, and community leaders. It aims to create a self-sustaining digital ecosystem that encourages both artists and the public to use SAH’s tools for sharing art news and submitting work. By aligning outreach with cultural events and fostering a vibrant arts community, the Manager will ensure SAH’s growth as a central hub for local arts and culture.

This new role supports the relaunch and strategic growth of SaugaArtsHub.com, Mississauga’s online platform for local arts and culture. Reporting to the SAH Community Outreach & Production Manager and working with MAC’s Communications Manager, the Creative Content & Web Specialist will create and manage engaging content that showcases the city’s artists, events, and festivals.

Request for Proposal: Hand Painted Bell Box – 5400 Matheson Blvd E.

Deadline to apply is Monday, June 23, 2025.

Mississauga Arts Council’s (MAC) Murals with MAC program is seeking a local artist to paint a mural on a Bell box located at 5400 Matheson Blvd E. The mural aims to capture abstract visuals, bold patterns, textiles, and/or 3D optical illusions.

Mississauga Arts Council’s (MAC) Murals with MAC program is seeking a local artist to paint a mural on a Bell box located at 6256 Millers Grove. The mural aims to capture bright and colourful visuals representing Mississauga.

Request for Proposal: Mural on David Ramsey Outdoor Pool

Deadline to apply is Monday, June 2, 2025.

Sheridan Homelands Association (SHORA), Mississauga Arts Council (MAC), Ward 2 Councillor Alvin Tedjo’s Office, and Murals with MAC are inviting artists to submit a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a mural located on the side of David Ramsey Outdoor Pool. The artwork will be fabricated onto ACM panels and printed on all-weatherproof vinyl.

Call for Artists – The Beauty of Bees Exhibition

Deadline to apply is Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

MAC, in partnership with Streetsville Founders’ Bread and Honey Festival, invites Mississauga-based visual artists to submit their pollinator-inspired work for the Beauty of Bees Exhibition 2025, happening Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Pollinator Showcase Garden in Streetsville.

Call for Youth (16-22) Auditions – The Next Gen: Singing Contest

Deadline to apply is Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 5 PM.

The Next Gen: Singing Contest (formerly Sauga Teens Got Talent) is a yearly juried singing competition for youth hosted by Streetsville Bread and Honey Festival, produced by Mississauga Arts Council, sponsored by Metalworks Studios and Metalworks Institute.

MAC encourages youth vocalists (aged 16–22) to submit an audition for a chance to perform on the festival’s Community Stage and win cash prizes from MAC, along with prizes from Metalworks Institute and Metalworks Studios.

Job Opportunity: Videographer/Video Editor – Canada Summer Jobs Position

Deadline to apply is Monday, May 12, 2025 at 5 PM.

MAC is seeking a creative and ambitious student or young professional (aged 15-30) to film and edit video content for MAC and Sauga Arts HUB. This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program, which supports not-for-profit and public sector employers and provides quality summer work experiences for youth, particularly those facing barriers to employment.

Please note: This position is contingent upon CSJ funding.

Call for Volunteers for Charity Gaming at RAMA Mississauga Gaming House

Deadline: Ongoing

Charitable Gaming Volunteers:
This is an ongoing year-round volunteer opportunity. Mississauga Arts Council provides volunteers to work two four hour shifts at RAMA Gaming Centre in Mississauga per month. MAC receives a portion of the revenue, which directly funds our MicroGrant program and other community-engaged initiatives. Volunteers will rotate based on availability.

Additional volunteering opportunities may include:

Indigenous Artists (All Disciplines)

Call for Indigenous Artists to join Roster

Deadline: Ongoing

Mississauga Arts Council (MAC) actively listens to Indigenous artists and ensures their work is respectfully showcased and fairly compensated. We are looking to connect with professional and emerging Indigenous artists from all artistic disciplines to create new Indigenous-led projects and commissions that celebrate Indigenous culture through stories, artwork, and music.

Current arts collaborations include a wide variety of stimulating creative entertainment and exhibition efforts, connecting creative professionals to new audiences and clients. MAC values any input that ensures that every collaboration is inclusive of the special works we wish to present.

Call for Visual Artists to join Artist Roster

Murals with MAC is a neighbourhood beautification project that is redefining traditional approaches to public art and provide paid opportunities for local artists. Whether it is a painted wall or a vinyl wrap, a printed panel, or decorated picnic tables, a bold banner or beautiful utility box, there are so many bold ways to transform public spaces.
