Request For Proposal for Lakeshore Mural Digital Hoarding Project Richard’s Memorial Park

About the project:

The Mississauga Arts Council, Peel Region and Stantec have embarked on a mission to provide prominent artistic opportunities to local artists by creating a Request for Proposal “RFP” for a digitally rendered hoarding mural at Richard’s Memorial Park inspired by a flip-book idea.

This project consists of two hoarding murals, one at Pine Avenue and one at Wesley Avenue.

Call for Volunteers for Charity Gaming at RAMA Mississauga Gaming House

Deadline: Ongoing

Charitable Gaming Volunteers:
This is an ongoing year-round volunteer opportunity. Mississauga Arts Council provides volunteers to work two four hour shifts at RAMA Gaming Centre in Mississauga per-month. A portion of the revenue is paid to MAC and directly funds our MicroGrant and other community-engaged initiatives. Volunteers will rotate based on availability.

Additional volunteering opportunities may include:

  • – 2023 MARTYS event volunteers
  • – Amphitheatre Unplugged event volunteers
  • – MACsquerade Ball event volunteers
  • – Summer festival event volunteers

Indigenous Artists (All Disciplines)

Call for Indigenous Artists to join Roster

The Mississauga Arts Council (MAC) is committed to listening to the voices of Indigenous artists in meaningful ways that will allow your work to be properly and respectfully showcased and paid for. We’re looking to connect with professional and emerging Indigenous artists from all artistic disciplines, to create new Indigenous-led projects and commissions that celebrate Indigenous culture through stories, artwork, and music.

Current arts collaborations include a wide variety of stimulating creative entertainment and exhibition efforts, connecting creative professionals to new audiences and clients. MAC values any input that ensures that every collaboration is inclusive of the special works we wish to present.

Call for Visual Artists to join Artist Roster

Murals with MAC is a neighbourhood beautification project that is redefining traditional approaches to public art and provide paid opportunities for local artists. Whether it is a painted wall or a vinyl wrap, a printed panel, or decorated picnic tables, a bold banner or beautiful utility box, there are so many bold ways to transform public spaces.

Mississauga Arts Council and Ward 2 Councillor Alvin Tedjo invite 2SLGTBQIA+ professional artists or artist teams based in Mississauga to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in creating a permanent public artwork painted on a Bell Box.

Call for Video Editor – Canada Summer Jobs Position

MAC is hiring a Video Editor aged 15-30 as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program.

Funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Program, MAC is seeking a creative and ambitious Video Editor aged 15-30 to edit and film video content for MAC and Martys HUB.

Cranberry Christmas Market is MAC’s annual Holiday Market featuring local Mississauga artisans, craft, and food vendors.

Apply to become a vendor at the Cranberry Christmas Market at Clarke Memorial Hall (161 Lakeshore Rd W, Mississauga, ON L5H 1G3) on Saturday, December 10, 2022. Vendor selection is on a first-come basis with a limit to the number of vendors with similar items (ex. maximum 2 candle vendors etc.)

Amphitheatre Unplugged Open Mic

Call for Performers for MAC and Mississauga Celebration Square’s Amphitheatre Unplugged Open Mic

Whether you’re a musician, spoken word artist, comedian or dazzling performer, the stage is yours! Share your craft or enjoy the great talent Mississauga has to offer at open mic nights in the Amphitheatre happening every Wednesday night in August at Celebration Square’s Amphitheatre.

Sauga’s Summer Song Contest

Call for Songwriters/Musicians to submit an original song and win a recording and mixing session at Metalworks Studios!

Musicians – submit your hottest summer song for a chance to win a recording and mixing session at Metalworks Studios! The winner will also be announced via video release and will be asked to co-present an award at the Mississauga Music Awards.
