Happy Holidays from Mississauga Arts Council 🎄❄️

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re grateful to reflect on the many positive moments we’ve shared with our MAC members throughout the year. Your talent, energy and support have fueled inspiring artistic growth, strengthened community connections, and created meaningful impacts that will continue to resonate into the New Year!

Some Milestones from 2025:

  • MAC Impact – This year, across all of our programs, we distributed $150,126 in artist fees to 517 artists!
  • Sauga Arts HUB (SAH) Launch – Announcement of a 3 year, transformational Ontario Trillium Foundation Grow Grant from the Ontario Government, totalling $557,500, which will fund our new staff members (Glodeane Brown, Community Outreach & Production Manager, and Kamila Yusuf, Arts Reporter & Content Creator) to manage and grow SaugaArtsHub.com.
  • MACsquerade Black Tie & Versailles Arts Fundraiser  300 arts supporters and sponsors came together to enjoy themselves and raise over $40,000 to fund vital arts programming next year.
  • Seniors Arts & Music Series (SAMS) – 2,117 residents of long-term care homes engaged with 188 performances and workshops.
  • Mississauga Arts Awards (MARTYS)  68 finalists, 17 Winners, 3 Arts Champions and 1 Special Award recipient were honoured!
  • 2025 Sauga’s Song of the Year – 11,500 streams of the winning song “Birdhouse” by Joelle Rose!
  • MicroGrant Program – 35 artist-funded projects in every artistic discipline!
  • Murals with MAC – 12 mural projects by 11 talented artists, creating paid opportunities to beautify our city.

MAC’s office will be closed for the holidays starting Monday, December 22, 2025, and will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026. We look forward to seeing you in the New Year for more programs, events, and initiatives that strengthen the arts in Mississauga.

We wish you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season and a Happy New Year filled with creativity and connection!
