Murals with MAC is inviting Mississauga-based artists of all disciplines to submit work for four upcoming public hoarding projects!
Located across multiple sites in Mississauga, selected artists will have their artwork printed at a large scale and installed in high-visibility public locations.
Deadline to submit for all sites is April 6, 2026.

MH1A – Erin Centre Blvd. – Resident Gallery
Murals with MAC invites members of the Mississauga Arts Council to submit existing and or new artworks that capture the energy, vibrancy, and spirit of Mississauga. This call is open to painters, illustrators, graphic designers, photographers, and mixed-media artists who are current MAC members.

MH2 & MH2A – Mississauga Road – Streetsville in Time
This ambitious project will celebrate the rich heritage, people, and landmark moments of Streetsville, past and present. Six (6) selected artists will create two (2) murals while they work together to create a seamless visual narrative, using a timeline approach to portray Streetsville’s evolving history. The final artwork should feel cohesive across all panels while showcasing each artist’s unique style and interpretation.

MH3 & MHA3A- Mississauga Road -Natural Dynamics
Murals with MAC is inviting two (2) Mississauga-based artists to create three (3) mural designs each that pay homage to iconic Canadian landscape artists, such as the Group of Seven, while incorporating Ontario’s native plants and animals. Given the industrialized character of the surrounding area, the environment currently feels stark and would greatly benefit from the warmth and vibrancy of nature-inspired public art. This call encourages artists to reimagine the space by bringing elements of our natural landscape into an otherwise bleak setting.

Queen Street N. – Love Letters to Mississauga
Murals with MAC is inviting residents of Mississauga to share their vision of the city through the theme “Love Letters to Mississauga.” This project is open exclusively to photographers, writers, and poets, and seeks to celebrate the past, present, and future moments that make Mississauga special to its residents. We encourage creatives to explore what love for the city means to them, through images, words, and poetry, and contribute to a vibrant, heartfelt community story.
