Project: Supersonic Quadraphonic
Singer-songwriter Tom Barlow used his Matchmaker MicroGrant to complete and release his latest album, Supersonic Quadraphonic, including a professional music video for the title track and three live performances tied to his single releases.
The multi-phase project directly supported the local creative economy by employing 12 total artists, including paid opportunities for seven local Mississauga creators and production studios. Barlow brought the music to the community through three free, accessible live performances at Shore Grill & Grotto in Port Credit, drawing over 500 total attendees across the series. Combining these in-person shows with a digital rollout on YouTube and social media, the project captured an impressive audience of over 65,000, garnering international reviews and media coverage spanning Europe, the United States, and South America.
