Call for Artists! Mississauga Arts Council is looking for artists to paint murals for Indwell Lakeshore Lofts

Mississauga, ON – April 7, 2022

Mississauga Arts Council (MAC) is inviting local Mississauga artists and/or arts collectives to submit a Request for Proposal to create three murals for Indwell’s Lakeshore Lofts located at 425 Lakeshore Rd E in east Port Credit.

“This is our most dynamic site for a mural to date. This building is located just down the road from vibrant downtown Port Credit. This creative opportunity will represent diverse community voices and inspire an appreciation for their stories.” says Mike Douglas, MAC’s Executive Director, “The winning visual artist will receive $7,000 and their murals will be on display for years to come at a landmark location.”

“This is an incredible opportunity for a local artist to make a mark at this bustling location.” says Jacqueline Mak, MAC’s Creative Director & Strategist, “We are inviting artists to create a proposal for an original mural that evokes the spirit of the lake and energy of Port Credit. Artists are encouraged to consider the use of the blue, grey and white hues found on the building; we encourage all those interested to submit.”

The extended deadline to submit a proposal is Monday, April 18th by 4:00 PM. Project details and submission requirements are located at:
