In 2023, Noelle Hamlyn used her Matchmaker MicroGrant to support the completion of her exhibition, Lifers, on display at the ROM from June 3, 2023 to February 19, 2024. The exhibition examines humanity’s obsession with fashion through life vests, demonstrating the environmental consequences created by overconsumption. Lifers includes over twenty life jackets repurposed by Hamlyn, and each work elaborates on a part of the fashion climate crisis. MAC’s Matchmaker grant aided Noelle in the completion of the final 3 liferjackets.
