Project: El Cantinero de Cuba
When a severe hand injury made performing impossible, guitarist Pilar America decided to pivot, expanding her musical expression through composition and collaboration. The result was an intimate and deeply meaningful work for guitar and voice El Cantinero de Cuba, which was recorded and a music video created through the support of a MAC Matchmaker MicroGrant.

Creating this video helped me grow as an artist, strengthening my arranging and performance skills while clearly expressing my musical identity. It has since become a valuable tool for sharing my work with new audiences, opening doors to performances, collaborations, and future projects.
