Mississauga Arts Council’s (MAC) MicroGrant Program provides funding to individual artists to support the creation and presentation of their projects. These MicroGrants target areas of interest or needs within the local arts sector and have been catalysts for collaboration across artistic practices.
In the Winter 2026 MicroGrant funding round, MAC is offering Matchmaker MicroGrants to Individual Artists. Matchmaker MicroGrants provide 50% matching funds to artist-led projects from any artistic discipline up to a maximum of $3000. To be eligible for funding, projects must demonstrate a confirmed investment in the project at the time of application and must include a public-facing event or activity in Mississauga, engage audiences in Mississauga, and pay artist fees to Mississauga-based artists.

All MicroGrant applications must be received by MAC by Monday, March 23, 2026, before 5:00 PM. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Mississauga Arts Council is hosting a MicroGrant Information Session via Zoom on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 1 PM.

MicroGrants Open: Wednesday, January 21, 2026
MicroGrant Info Session: Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM
MicroGrants Close: Monday, March 23, 2026, by 5:00 PM
Winners Notified: week of April 13, 2026 (TBC)
Winners Announced: week of April 27, 2026 (TBC)
Project Completion Date: after April 1, 2026 and before December 31, 2026
Final Reports Due: 1 month after project completion or by December 31, 2026 at the latest
