
MAC is seeking a Videographer/Video Editor aged 15-30 for an 8-week contract through the Canada Summer Jobs program.

Term: Temporary 35 hr/wk, 8-weeks funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Program.
Salary/Hours: $17.20 to $22 an hour (Commensurate with experience)
Please note: This position is contingent upon funding from the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) wage subsidy program. The final candidate selection will depend on the approval
and receipt of this funding.
Office Hours*: 35 hours a week (Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM). MAC’s staff have a hybrid schedule and work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Location: MAC’s office is located in Mississauga City Hall, 300 City Centre Dr Suite 1055, Mississauga, ON, L5B 3C9
Candidates are required to use their own computer or laptop for the duration of the role. MAC will provide the software needed to complete the work and can provide camera/video equipment along with a green screen studio.
Eligibility:
This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program. To be eligible, the successful applicant must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment;
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
*Please note that this position may require attendance at member or community events outside of designated work hours, including evenings and weekends. This position may require travelling to locations in Mississauga to capture events and artist interviews as needed. A valid G driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle is required.

Job Description:
We are seeking a creative and ambitious Videographer/Video Editor to film and edit dynamic video content for Mississauga Arts Council. The role requires filming and editing video content of MAC events, artist interviews, and more. You’ll create recap videos, short reels for social media channels, and storytelling pieces that capture the essence of our programs. Working independently and alongside MAC’s creative team, you’ll play a key role in shaping our visual presence and engaging the community through video.
Key Responsibilities
With guidance from the Communications Manager, the Videographer/Video Editor will:
- Produce, film, and edit video content for MAC, artist members, and community events in Mississauga, ON
- Edit previously filmed video content into short recap videos for MAC events and programs
- Create engaging video content for MAC and Sauga Arts HUB social media and digital platforms using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- A combination of experience (such as volunteer experience) and education/knowledge of videography, video editing, or a related field.
- Experience using a DSLR camera.
- Production experience with lighting, camera/tripod setup.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
- Experience in creating social media videos (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok).
- Valid G Driver’s License and reliable access to a vehicle. MAC will cover mileage costs at $.50/km.
Assets
- Knowledge of After Effects and Illustrator.
- Experience interviewing individuals/artists.
- Experience working at a non-profit or in the arts sector.
- Extra video equipment (i.e. camera, drone, tripod).
